Dr. Fefferman graduated with honors and received his MD from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and then went on to complete his Internal Medicine training at Brown University School of Medicine's Rhode Island and Miriam Hospital. Dr. Fefferman subsequently completed his Gastroenterology and Advanced Endoscopy training at Harvard Medical School's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Dr. Fefferman has assisted in teaching Gastroenterology at Harvard Medical School and is a Clinical Instructor in Medicine. He has authored multiple articles and chapters for medical journals and textbooks. Dr. Fefferman's clinical interests include Colon Cancer screening and prevention, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Celiac disease, Reflux and Esophageal disorders, as well as treating diseases of the liver and pancreas. He has additional training in therapeutic endoscopic procedures including ERCP.
